3 Steps To Follow When Looking For Your Target Market

Someone somewhere is looking for exactly what you offer.

You better believe it! ⠀

Moments of doubt and fear tend to creep in with all the excitement, energy, and passion that are present when you are operating in your zone of genius. As a creative entrepreneur, you have to take a deep breath and just take the leap. You don’t have to overthink it, but that doesn’t mean you can’t take a strategic or calculated leap.⠀

Don’t fall into the trap that all you have to do is put your offer up on your website and post it on social media and people will find you. If that were the case, we would all be instant millionaires.⠀

STEP 1: Define your “someone”.⠀
Instead of using broad terms like “anyone who uses social media” or “anyone who wants to lose weight”, narrow down your target market. 🎯⠀

For example, you could say, “I work with Millennial, Generation X or Baby Boomer women who “are new to social media” or if you’re a health or nutrition coach women who “want to lose weight after a health warning from their doctor”. ⠀

STEP 2️: Figure out the exact problems your ideal clients experiencing.
When we’re looking to solve a problem, what is one of the first things we do? ⠀
Not only do we look for experts who can help us solve the problem but we also join groups and communities of people who are in the same boat. 🚣 ⠀

STEP 3: Go looking for them.

Who do they think is offering solutions? What online communities will they find their colleagues and peers who are looking for the same solutions?

Search within social media sites for the groups, hashtags and keywords/phrases your prospective customers are using to get support and find resources.⠀

It’s that simple. Want help? Sign up for a free business breakthrough session and we can come up with ideas of where to look for your ideal clients online.
